The FTDX10 and FT‑991A retain their established transmit paths. The external SDRs provide independent reception and a flexible computer view.
A manual RF selector, an isolated PTT combiner, and SDR switching perform separate jobs. The unused HF radio stays powered off.
Equipment and operating roles ↗

The RX888 MkII and RSPdx‑R2 serve primarily HF roles. The RSPduo and NESDR SMArt v5 are assigned primarily to VHF/UHF at this station.
Those are operating assignments, not absolute coverage limits. The receiver, its software, and the computer determine what can be monitored in a particular configuration.
